Apple Gourd is very healthy and nutritious vegetable. Most of the children don’t like to eat . To change it’s taste and make it delicious I always use Pav Bhaji masala in it. Believe me , it turns out very tasty.

Always take soft and fresh tinde ( Apple gourd) . Do not make this vegetable juicy. It tastes good, dry only.

1 Step

Wash apple gourd and potato (peel it ). Cut it into pieces.

2 Step

Take a mixtur jar add roughly chopped onion, tomato, green chilli and ginger garlic paste. Grind it to make fine paste .

3 Step

Take a wok heat oil. Add tinda, potato and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder . Fry it on low medium flame until they half cooked . Transfer it in a plate.

4 Step

In same wok add onion - tomato masala. Roast it on low heat until masala starts releasing oil.

5 Step

Add all the spices . Mix it well . Add 1-2 tsp water. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

6 Step

Now add half fried tinda and potato. Mix it well. If needed add 1-2 tsp water. Stir it .

7 Step

Cover it with lid. Cook it until it becomes soft. Stir occasionally.

8 Step

Turn off the flame. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves.


Serve it hot with chapati.
