Veg Shami Burger is an easy to make burger recipe which will surely be a family favorite. All you need is, chana dal, onions, tomatoes, capsicums and a wholesome of aromatic spices to prepare this lip-smacking vegetarian dish at home. The delicious tikka used in the recipe are prepared by cooking vegetables with soaked dal and is blasting with mildly spicy flavors. Indeed a must try for all the vegetarian snack lovers. You can serve this snack recipe on occasions like birthday parties, picnics or on road trips in order to beat the sudden hunger pangs.

Soak Black chickpeas overnight.
In the morning, put soaked chickpeas, garlic and ginger in the pressure cooker and let them cook till six whistles.
Chop onion to form diced onion. After six whistles, remove the cooker from the gas and keep aside for the steam to subsides.
After the steam subsides, open the cooker and drain water from the ingredients in the cooker.
Now grind them coarsely and add 1 to 2 spoons of besan, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, diced onion, and coriander leaves and mix well.
Now heat the oil in a pan. Till the oil is being heated, form round prepare the patties of the black chickpea mixture.
Deep fry the patties in the pan till they become golden brown and crisp. Keep the patties aside.
Take burger and cut it from the middle. Cut the onion and tomato into round and slim slices.
On the base of the burger, spread some mint mayonnaise and put a chickpea patty on it. On the patty, put a slice of onion and tomato and top it with mint mayonnaise.
Cover it with the other half of the burger and your veg shami kebab burger is ready to eat.
